WOMEN EMPOWERMENT


There is no tool for development more effective than women empowerment’ .I  guess this very term(women empowerment) is used so often that it has become more of a cliche. Women empowerment is something that the whole world today is concentrating on.  Have you ever thought  about why do we emphasize or talk about empowering women or why do we celebrate women’s day? Don’t you think that this day wouldn’t have come into existence if women were empowered? Its really heart wrenching to see the atrocities against women that don’t seize to stop.. In the 21st century where we are becoming technologically so advanced where humanoids are being developed, women are still not safe. It’s a shame for us! The number of rapes, female infanticides , domestic violence are increasing day by day. This really , makes us think whether we are developing ? we are moving forward but crimes against women are also on the rise!we have reached to an extent where we are beginning to stereotype colors as pink being for girls and blue for boys and moreover why are rules made for only women ?
The real definition of  Women empowerment is not just about asking for equal rights but to make women empowered economically, socially and education wise. Education is he most powerful weapon and I think if all girls are educated we may be able to successfully eradicate illiteracy from the world because when we educate a women we tend to educate the future generations as well. Being educated will make women economically strong.


That day I was watching a particular  Indian t.v serial and suddenly there was this scene where the girl gets caught by some goons and guess who saves her?  A male character of the show. So that time a thought crossed my mind. Why do we need someone to protect us all the time? Imagine giving self defense coaching to every women and empowering them to protect themselves wouldn’t that be just great? This in the real sense will be empowerment.


According to me empowering women in the true sense will be when all these stereotypes are demolished and a society is built where in women and men together hand in hand help to break this barrier of social inequality.a society where not just women but men as well contribute their parts for empowering women . A society where sexism is no longer existent. If this takes place dear friends then we will have women empowerment in the true sense! 



SOCIAL MEDIA... good or bad?

"Social media should be used to connect and not impress" . A quote rightly said and very much applicable to today's youth.Today social media has come to occupy a strategic position in our lives.Today, with this growing trend, especially among youth, social media is describes as a two sided weapon.
IT'S GOOD USES
Everything has a good and a bad side,but largely it depends on how YOU make use of it.Social media helps us largely to keep in touch with our dear old friends as well as make new ones.It keeps us 'up-to-date' with everything that is happening around us! It helps us chat , send messages, video call , share pictures and documents, instantly, just on the click of a button.Largely, social media has indeed made our lives much more easier , given the type of connectivity!

BAD IMPACTS
Due to social media , youth have today found this platform to substitute their family and friends , likewise.  Social media has indeed led to an upsurge in the number of cyber crimes, that just do not seize to stop! As a result of social media , today's youth have fallen prey to cyber bullying and most people today find it more comfortable to interact or express themselves on social media ,as a consequence of which, there seem to be a depreciation in the amount of 'actual' social relations in society. A number of deaths have taken place due to various social media games and challenges that have put the life of today's youngsters at a grave risk(e.g. blue whale etc) 

LIFE IS ABOUT LEARNING FROM MISTAKES!

WELL... life at most of the times can be draining . We tend to feel that life is being unfair to us. BUT! do you know that most of the bad things(so called 'bad things') happen to us due to our negative attitude towards life? Yes! life is what you make of it! well.. you must have heard this a 1000 times.But it's absolutely true. if you have a positive outlook towards life ,then anything and everything is possible.All we need in life to be successful is just a little HOPE and SELF-BELIEF in ourselves.I heard a beautiful quote that says,"Don't take yourself seriously, but believe in yourself completely!and that's so true. We all are humans and hence making mistakes is as natural as breathing oxygen!But a person who does not learn from them ,remains stagnated in the same place.Every mistake has something to teach us, but only if we are ready to learn from them. If you have done something crazy, or have made a mistake, just let it GO! A person learns from his/her mistakes so committing one is important to ensure ones growth.So, commit new mistakes every single day, as the more you make mistakes the more you can LEARN from them.So do not be afraid to to it!

LIFE ... is BEAUTIFUL and SUICIDE is NEVER an option!

LIFE is the most precious gift that each one of us has been blessed with.Sometimes we tend to think that no one understands us or how difficult life is and ultimately tend to become weary. BUT! remember no matter how many problems you are encountered with, no matter how deep and disturbing they may be , there is always a solution. The main aim as to why problems come our way, is to help us make better choices and give us the wisdom of experience. Life is NEVER a bed of roses but definitely can be at least better, if we embrace life and accept our share of problems and learn to deal with them effectively.Do you know that the only person who does not have problems stays in a grave? and has been in a long sleep?

WHY do people feel ENDING their lives is better?
Many people who tend to think this way, are often the ones who are going through TOUGH phases of life. If a problem, for some reason, they feel is overwhelming, then this option " OF COMMITTING THE MOST HEINOUS CRIME" takes them into their grip. Of course i may never know what you are going through, but definitely, I do know this much that you are a person make in GOD's likeness and hence you are strong! I am not a philosopher , but i believe that each one of us has the capacity INBUILT in each one of us to deal with circumstances as they rise.
THEY NEED YOUR HELP
Every person who is suffering from these kind of suicidal thoughts are in need of help. They are NOT weak, but just have lost hope and belief in themselves and in life. It is moral responsibility to lend a helping hand to such people. By just giving a word of encouragement can indeed go a very long way.So next time , you see a person depressed, unhappy, lost in deep thoughts or a person who does not show the kind of excitement that he/she showed before, give them a shoulder to cry and a hand to raise them up, for PRECAUTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!

Health is wealth. This well said quote is still applicable in this technologically advanced and fast moving world. Today in a world where we tend to neglect ourselves, health is a vital part.Health comes largely from what we eat and how we try to remain fit.
Why is BALANCED DIET IMPORTANT?
Eating a balanced proportion of a meal is extremely necessary. A balanced diet contain all the nutrients that a a healthy body requires. Example having proteins, vitamins, minerals,and carbohydrates in a balanced ratio is vital. But care has to be taken that, these nutrients should not overdo their proportion, after all anything over done is bad! A best example of a balanced diet is an INDIAN meal that consists of all of the above mentioned nutrients just in its proper quantity! Surprising right? yet, its true.
 









KEEP your body hydrated ALWAYS!
Did you know liquids , especially Water constitutes almost 75%  of our body?, And hence keeing yourself hydrated becomes a priority. It is always recommended to have at least 8 glasses of water per day. But given the kind of pollution and the rising temperatures, it is advisable  to have as much as fluids as possible.Example having juices (NOT beverages or tetra packs)made at home like beetroot juice , banana milkshakes,etc . can provide you with the necessary dose of vitamins and minerals.


WORK OUT!
Working out regularly is extremely important. Not only does it keep you in shape but it also keeps you fitter in the long run. ANY kind of exercise even a 15 minutes walk is said to do great towards your body! So whether it is walking, cycling or playing sports it is great and can work wonders!
